Our historical 1910 dolls are fully articulated at the knees, hips, waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists and neck. They come with inset eyes (which collectors can change if they wish), wig and intracately detailed historical underwear. Includes doll stand, history card and certificate.
This resin doll will replace the vinyl dolls previously offered. Collectors who pre-ordered the vinyl dolls will be contacted soon regarding price and delivery.

1910 History: THE HOBBLE SKIRT SUIT
The turn of the 20th century was torn between the lingering structured expectations of the Victorian era and the exciting new marvels of industry and science. So, designers began mixing the tailored lines of men's wear with the intellectual romance of the ancient Greeks.
The tailored costume, which consisted of a jacket or coat with a skirt, became an essential part of most women's wardrobe, whatever their social status. Between 1900 and 1910 the styles wildly varied. But by 1910 the waist line had moved to above the waist and the skirt became narrow from hip to ankle. Despite it's "hobble" title, these skirts were skillfully tucked and pleated just enough to allow for easy movement.
Although the skirt length has risen and fallen through the years, the slim skirt paired with a jacket is still a part of the modern woman's wardrobe.
