DEGAS
Dreassed Doll and Costume
Limited Edition - under 300
Doll designed by Christina Bougas.
Costume designed by Janee Glenn
In 2004 Clea and Aunt Dierdre add a new number to the Children's Imagination Factory program. Inspired by the Degas painting "The Dance Foyer at the Opera on the Rue Le Peletier" the CIF ensemble takes the kids back to a romantic period of ballet in France.
The number opens with the dancers frozen in position, mimicking every detail of the great painting. One by one, their lanky Opera director taps them on the head with his cane and the dancers come to life. Through the music the girls rehearse for the opera until the director taps them on the head again and the scene returns to the painting's original composition

DRAGONFLY
Dressed Doll and Costume
Limited Edition - under 300
Also Available through Participating Dealers
For doll designer, Christina Bogie Bougas, Clea Bella as Dragonfly is a dream come true. When she was a little girl she used to catch dragonflies up at her families mountain cabin. She would spend hours making detailed sketches of them then setting them free. She was so in love with dragonflies that she made dragonfly wings for her Barbie dolls and hung them from her forest painted bedroom ceiling. The sketch for dragonfly has literally been on the boards for over 20 years!!!!!
Clea looks absolutely magical in this fantasy design. Her stretch velveteen leotard has an open sleeve peasant blouse top. Her sheer dual colored chiffon wings snap onto her crinkled brocade green empire waist bodice.
Fashion fits other petite sized dolls. Ballet slipper fit only the Clea Bella ballet foot doll

Composed in 1892 by Pyotr Illyich Tchiakovsky, "The Nutcracker" initially received dismal reviews. If the critics had their way it would have fadded into ballet obscurity. But by the turn of the century the ballet found it's way into public appeal. Today, The Nutcracker is the biggest selling ballet, bringing in big ticket revenues for both professional and ameture dance companies around the world during the Christmas holiday season.
As an annual collection, we will be adding new designs every year.
The Nutracker Story
A mysterious guest, Herr Drosselmeyer, arrives at the Stahlbaum's Christmas party. He brings a soldier's uniform for the couples young boy and a nutcracker in the shap of a soldier for their young daughter, Clara.
After the party, Clara creeps downstairs to play with her nutcracker. Suddenly Drosselmey appears. The clock stops and the Christmas tree and toys grow huge and come to life. Clara watches on as the Nutcracker defeats the evil warring Mouse King. Drosselmeyer changes the Nutcracker into a prince who takes clara on a magical journey.
First they travel to the land of Snow, where they meet the Snow Queen and the dancing snowflakes. Then they visit the Land of Sweets. When the young prince tells the Sugar Plum Fairy how he vanquished the Mouse King with Claras help, the Sugar Plum Fairy commands a royal festival filled with lavish dancing to honor their brave young guests. At the end of the celebrations the Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy dance. Suddenly Clara finds herself back at home and wonders if was all a marvelous dream.

SNOWFLAKE
Dance of the Snowflakes 2006
300 Limited Edition Costume
Anticiapted Delivery: Fall 2006
Costume designed by Christina Bougas
Clea wears a the traditional romantic tutu with an embroidered and beaded bodice and sparkly pale blue tulle skirt over aditional layers of white and lavander tulle.
Design Secret: Designers use various colors of tulle in the layered skirts to give the costume additional depth. A single color skirt tends to look bulky and have an unpleasing "marange" look. But mulitiple colors break up the layers, giving the skirt the desired illusion of lightness and flow.

SUNFLOWER
Waltz of the Flowers 2004
300 Limited Edition Costume
Currently out of stock but still available through some participating dealers.
Costume designed by Christina Bougas
SUNFLOWER is the first design in Clea Bellas tribute to the holiday classic The Nutcracker. In act two, during the royal festival of dances, a Morning Butterfly takes wing among many flowers, and together they perform the breathtaking Waltz of Flowers.
Clea Bella designer, Christina Bogie Bougas takes a fresh approach to this holiday classic. Traditionally, costume designers have incorporated the romantic ballet costume, a calf length full flowing skirt, into the Waltz of Flowers ensembles. But Christina chose to use the more structured classical tutu, a hip level burst of netting and decor, to portray the stem like elegance of flowers. SUNFLOWER is the first of several variations to the Waltz of Flowers costume ensemble.
This costume only includes a classical tutu with embroidered sunflower detailing, a five panel green bodice with criss-cross front lacing, white tights, yellow ballet slippers and mini accessories.
THIS ITEM MAY STILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGH OUR DEALERS.
