Clea Bella in Premiere After ten years of filing grants and raising funds, Clea and her Aunt Dierdre form their dance company The Children’s Imagination Factory. The goal is to tour under privilege schools throughout the Western United Stares, introducing children to the wonders of classical and jazz music through dance, comical sketches and gymnastics. To honor her supportors and contributors, Clea holds a special reception a the Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco. The night is complete with a sit down dinner, champaign and entertainment. Clea Bella in Gismonda Clea revives Sarah Bernhardt’s role of Gismonda during a weekend tribute to the famous actress at the Menger Hotel. Gismonda is the story of an Athenian princess who loves a commoner and, to everyone’s surprise, succeeds in marrying him and living happily ever after. But not before coming up against a vengeful priest who uses heart stopping tactics to thwart the lovers. The play is full of impassioned speeches, flower clad maidens and a wedding complete with choral hosannas, triumphal organ music and a revival of Bernhardt's art nouveau pageantry. Historically, Gismonda did little to advance Sarah’s fame. But, it changed the life of Czechoslovakian artist Alfonse Mucha. When Sarah saw his theatre poster she declared, “From now on you will work for me, close to me. I love you already.” True to her word, Sarah gave Mucha a five year contract and made him famous.
